Dear Mr. Woodham,
This site has another purpose.
I, too, have tried to reach you by email with important items.... I sent you my file and you didn't respond; I sent devastating, (at least to me & about people you knew personally) obituaries and you didn't respond.
I've just returned from visiting in the Florida Panhandle doing some family research and travel in the area. The Celia Drive address appears vacant; the phone line was busy or unanswered.
Many people wish to speak with you. What we seek is as important to us as what you seek is to you. Upon my return home... there were 78 messages in my email... I priortized and began brief answers to let everyone know they are important but that I need time.
One of the emails to me was from a young woman who has just begun her searching; you answered on the public forum asking for her file, but she's heard nothing from you privately. My advice to her has been to hold her file until she has, at least, the opportunity to correspond with R.E. Woodham via email.
Unfortunately, I did not learn soon enough not to give this precious work away so easily and have been deeply hurt as a result.
Yes, I would like to share any information and would like to see information publicly shared, but sir, at this point... I have begun to wonder if another person has assumed the identity of the Robert Earl Woodham who published "A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE WOODHAM FAMILY OF THE SOUTH" in May 1975.
As for that Robert Earl Woodham, I have respected and cared about him for a long time; I wish him health and good will.
Let this end, please.
Sandra G. Thompson
