Joseph Woodford (d. 1710) of Farmington ancestry?

Greetings cousins!

I was recently researching some collateral lines in Brightwell, Bucks, England, when I came across a group of Woodfords (including one named Thomas Woodford, b. about 1590). I decided to try to establish a link with Thomas Woodford of Lincolnshire, who is supposedly the same Thomas Woodford that emigrated to America in 1632 (he later married Mary Blott).

I had the chance to review Thomas Woodford's will of April 26, 1665 (which was probated on 6 Mar 1666/7), as reprinted in F.F. Starr, "Goodwin-Morgan Lines". Imagine my surprise when I did not find any mention of his erstwhile son Joseph Woodford (d. 1710) of Farmington, CT. As a matter of fact, when I checked "The Great Migration", the article on Thomas Woodford agreed with Starr, listing only three daughters (Mary, Hannah, Sarah).

Am I missing something here (that is common knowledge among Woodford researchers)? What is the evidence for Joseph Woodford's relationship to Thomas Woodford and Mary Blott? Thanks in advance,

Steve Bird
