Your Amelia was born in the September quarter of 1885 and registered at Barton Regis, a registration district that existed for about 25 years. This district is on the outskirts of Bristol to the north west.
I have not done much work on that area yet, but I have a family that moved that district who originate from Waltham St Lawrence near Reading that may fit, but I have a few problems establishing exactly who that is. What I can do for you, if you wish, is to check at the Family records Office in London, I work near there, and establish from the 1891 census who her parents are and other siblings as it seems she may well be the eldest of a large family. I should be able then to give you a lot more information. If it is the family I am thinking of I could get a connection right back to the 1700's, but my gut feeling is that it is not. However if is another Wooderson family then I should be able to work out a history back to the 18th century.
I have a week off work from the 18th february and intend to go to the Family record centre for a day as i deserve it having worked hard, so I will check your Amelia out anyway for my own curiosity.
