Hello Shirley. Many thanks for your message. Unfortunately, I believe that I have exhausted my research into Thomas Woodcock. Whilst his marriage to Joan Birch and his death are recorded in the Whitstable records, there is no record of his birth and baptism. We know that he was a fairly prosperous blacksmith and was involved with the local community, but we don't know where he came from. There are records of Woodcock being in Kent since the 1500s and many of them were blacksmiths, but as yet, I cannot find any connections. Any ideas? Yrs Philip
