William A. Woodcock supposedly had a first marriage before Sarah Carlisle. Does anyone have any information on such? Two of the daughters might have been Etta Woodcock b. 1882; and Kanzette Martha Jane Woodcock b. 1876.
Etta m. Harvey Swain and Kanzette m. Asbery Spradley.
These people are all buried in Allen Cemetery in Gulfport, MS
Etta is listed in one census as the first child in the household of William A. Woodcock and Sarah Carlisle; cannot find Kanzette/Canzette in any census with William A. Woodcock.
Word handed down thru family is that their mother was Indian.
I am researching this Woodcock family line, and not the Indian line. We would like to document Kanzette Martha Woodcock Spradley in our family history.
