It would appear from your message that your Husbands Grandfather, John Whitlock Woodcock and my Grandfather, WIlliam Arthur Whitlock Woodcock were cousins.
Like yourself I am new to this and have little information as yet. The information I posted was just taken from my Grandads birth certificate and his parents marriage certificate. I am, however, interested in knowing more and enclose my e-mail address in the hope we can correspond more. I look forward to hearing from you.
