Hi Ed, I think I'm a descendant of Samuel & Thomas Woodburn line of Tyler Co. WV.
My Mom is Helen Woodburn of Woodburn Run Tyler Co. Her father (my grandfather) was Oscar Woodburn & Vada Lancaster (wife) .... & I believe his father was Barney & Susan(wife). My mother was born in Woodburn run & lives there now. Mom & Grandma (Vada) tell that the old house in the head of the holler was "The Old Sam Woodburn Place" I can remember years ago ... the name Sam Woodburn carved into one of the clapboards ... but nothing remains now but a pile of rotted boards & the old stone fireplace. Feel free to email me & I can put you in direct contact with my Mom or Grandmother.
"Glenn Ayers"
