Henrietta Wood Turnbull and her fatal kitchen accident of 1917-19
Would like to find any info on the fatal Thanksgiving kitchen accident of Henrietta Wood Turnbull (b.~1887) somewhere around 1917 to 1919. Her husband was William Turnbull (b.~1875). They had two children: Cuthbert (b. 10/17/1907) and Alice (b. 11/15/1908). They were all born in County Northumberland, England; and William and Henrietta were married there on April 10, 1907. The family moved to western Connecticut in February 1910 to live with her father John Wood (b.~1848) and brother William Henry Wood (b.~1885). They were also from the same area in England. After the accident, William left, Cuthbert went to live with his uncle Josiah Bell (b. 9/15/1891), and Alice was adopted by her aunt Elizabeth Ann Bell Hapenny (b.~1886). The exact link between the Bell's and the Wood's is not established, I suspect there is a marriage link between the two families somewhere. Would like to find any info on these people and events. I would be more than glad to share anything I have with anyone that could use it.
