This is a message to all Chinese people bearing the last name WONG everywhere.
In November 1998 I had the opportunity to visit Xian, China the second time and lectured at Xian Jiaotong University. A student of mine took me to visit the tomb of the first emperor Wong Di, half a day drive from Xian. It was an unforgettable experience and you can be proud of our ancestor. Do you know in ancient times people had only first names without last names. For example, Abraham in the Bible also had no last name. It was emperor Wong Di who gave his children last names. Wong is one of the direct lines of the imperial family. There are more Wongs in the world today than the population of Great Britain. Let all the Wongs in the world unite!
