I am starting to research my sister inlaws father, JIN FOOK WONG born Nov 20,1907 in China ?? maybe Canton area, and died Oct 27, 1957 in Portland ,OR. I sent and received his DC stating his dad was Wong Nung He emigrated to SF CA not sure but was a actor there, I have a picture of him in a Japanese looking outfit. ALso was a Cook in OR md 1941 in WA How do I find out any way to find his emigration date to SF area, Also just sent for his SS application, hoping to find his parents and his exact POB, I know I'm grasping here but as you can see I need some info and help. I have no other info I can think of that would tell me when he came to US specifiacally SF area, Do I start by looking at all emig. records to Angel Island fo approx that time frame,
