Robert, I just found this message. The Forum is not informing me any more apparently, and I've been away from Womack research a good while, partly because I was so unhappy that the prevailing opinion about the father of William, (m. Lucy Womack) was a mistake. I'm sure others must feel the same, but it happens.I did do as much searching for Isham as I could in SC (online), but didn't find much,
I also just found your work on Benjamin Ingram and left a note thanking you for putting it online.
I accept your conclusion that my William was likely the son of Isham. The evidence is too strong to argue with.
Only one question remains: Surely, your William and mine did not both die in January of 1820, as claimed, so which one really did?Maybe a small point at this distance in time.
I do get to keep Abraham and Ann Blanton, though. I'm glad for that. I enjoy a little spice in my genealogy,at a distance of course. But I lose two Revolutionary soldier,Abe's son Abraham Jr, and Elizabeth Stubblefield's
father..
Sorry too that you take away Jacob of Watauga. Looks like he and My Thomas of Rutherdord NC did some exploring in western NC. I'll hold my opinion on that. I have seen information from E TN that Jacob removed his family to SC during the Indian troubles. Martha Womack Bean was living with son in law Levi Womack (William and Lucy's youngest married to aa Bean daughter),after Robert Bean's death. Robert was in E TN with the other Beans when they married And Lucy, as a widow, was with Abner (Levi's brother) and Isabella, my ancestors in Jackson Co AL .
So thanks for all your work. I'm sure all the other Womack researchers are grateful too.Fay
