A public visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St. in Shreveport. Womack died suddenly on Saturday at age 49. The service will be held at Centenary’s Brown Memorial Chapel and college chaplain Rev. Betsy Eaves and college president David Rowe will officiate. Womack served as Centenary’s dean of students since September 2008 and was responsible for the oversight of the departments of career services, student life programs and activities, fitness center operations, residence life, health services and college counseling. He brought more than 20 years experience in higher education administration, having served as dean of student development at Millikin University in Decatur, Ill., prior to his position at Centenary. Womack is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Henning, and three children, Tyler, Mason and Landon. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Dean Womack, the family has requested donations be made to the Autism Society of America, 7910 Woodmont Avenue, Suite 300, Bethesda, Md or call (301) 657-0881.
