I am trying to work on my husband's lines. His maternal grandfather was Benjamin Wolowski, born in 1888 in "Russia/Poland" (depending on if looking at immigration, census, etc.. He arrived in the US in or about 1910 and settled in Plains, Luzerne, Pennsylvania until his death in 1982.
My husband really doesn't have any information at all and most of his aunts/uncles are dead and the one still alive is very old and his cousins have apparently never had any interest, so it has been hard to find info from them, but, we believe that Benjamin's parents were Max and Esther. Last name for him might have been spelt Wolhaski. Max was likely born in 1854 and Esther in 1860. They again are listed as being from "Poland Russia"
Any assistance on this line would be great. Neither of us speak or read any Polish and really have no idea where to go on this line. We are hoping one of his cousins remembers something and will get back to us. (Family wedding later this summer, we can't go, but his cousin has promised to ask around all the relatives for us, so keeping our fingers crossed...)
