According to Brandenburg-Prussia emigration records, Martin Wollin and his wife Caroline nee Pahl emigrated in 1852 from Alt Ruednitz, Koenigsberg. However, they show Martin as being 21 years old at the time. They were married in 1851 at Shaumburg-Lippe, Brandenburg-Prussia. My own great-great-grandparents, Gottlieb Friedrich Wollin and his wife, Dorothea Marie nee Mettke, emigrated in 1857 from Alt Ruednitz with three young children. (The record says 1851, but they mistook a "7" for a "1".) There also was a Marie Winter nee Wollin, the wife of Franz Winter, who emigrated from Alt Ruednitz in 1855. My Wollins stayed for a time in the Tonawanda, NY, area before moving to St. Paul, IL. Gottlieb Friedrich and Dorothea Marie were buried there. Martin Wollin was described as the son of a "Buedner", but he seems a bit old to have been the son of Gottlieb Friedrich, who was described as a "Buedner".
