I am looking for information about two Wolford's who died at one of the Battles of Saltville, VA. I would like to know what unit they served in if possible. Our family history says that they are buried in an unmarked grave there. They are John "Jack" Wolford and his son James Wolford from Southwest Virginia. They were born in Peter Creek, KY, and I believe that is where they enlisted. Another brother John Wolford III died from a fever a few days after he returned home. I believe that they served in the Confederate Army. However, a cousin of theirs served in the Union Army.
