William and Louis Frederick Wolff were twin brothers born Nov 18, 1848 in Berne, Prussia (Heidleberg area?). They came to the Wet Mountain Valley (Custer County, Colorado) about 1874, seperate from the "German Colony" you mentioned. I don't have any information on their ancestors, but Louis was my great-grandfather and I can account for all his descendants. William's family has mostly left the area and we've lost touch, but he had daughters with the married names of Schultz, Whalen, and White.
Pam- I gather your interest in the Wet Mountain Valley is general rather than specific. If I knew what you were trying to do and why you were trying to do it, I could be more help.
