The Jacob Wolf, constable, did died in Norfork, AR in 1830. He had a son Michale Wolf who married Mary Magdalena Catharine Hedrick and he also move to Norfork, AR and he died there. Michael Wolf had a son, Jacob Wolf - who became known as Major Jacob Wolf. He was named Indian Agent to the Arkansas Territory about 1810. He, Major Jacob Wolf, his father, Michael; his siblings and their families(except one sister); and his grandfather, Jacob (the constable) - ALL moved to AR at that time.
Then there were many Jacob's who would have been grandsons of the Jacob, constable, dying and being buried in AR after 1830. We have NOT been able to match some of the tombstones for the Jacobs to the right person. Almost every son of Michael Wolf, son of Jacob constable, also had a son named Jacob.
We do NOT have the parentage of the Jacob Wolf, constable who was born 1840 and died in AR in 1830. His descendants are pretty well documented.
We have placed a DNA sample at FamilytreeDNA in hopse that we can connect to the older Jacob's parents or siblings.
