I do not know if I have replied to your reply to my posting are not.
My Lewis C. Hodges was in MO in 1870. He was born in AR about 1848. We do not know when he arrived in Dallas, TX, but we have him marrying our Eliza Ann Harris Sept 1877, in Dallas. We all thought that at about 28 years of age that he might have been married before. We also have him having five children between 1879 to 1888, we think in TX.
I thought it strange that there would be two Lewis C. Hodges with the same name and year of birth. What I saw was that yours was married in Ill. My Lewis C. had some brothers that had moved there for a short time in the year that it showed they were married.
Do you know if there is anyone in the Wolcott family that has any information on this Laura M. Wolcott and Lewis C.Hodges?
