We currently have 16 participants in the Wolcott,Walcott DNA project, with results for 14 received We are beginning to see some patterns. All participants except one appear to have the same Wolcott ancestor. The Connecticut and New Jersey Wolcotts have similar DNA and were closely related in the 1600s. The Maryland Wolcotts and Walcutts appear to have branched off at an earlier time. The Massachusetts Willcutts, formerly thought to be a branch of the Massachusetts Walcotts, are closely related to the Maryland Wolcotts. We will need more participants before we know how the Massachusetts Walcotts are related to these. For more details see the Wolcott web pages at http://www.wolcottfamily.com
