Most of the Woffords in Jackson Co. GA descended from Absalom Wofford b. abt. 1752 and Hannah Wofford b. abt 1751. Only a few of their children have been tracked. They moved to Jackson Co. GA sometime bef. 1815.
I have reason to believe my Cynthia Wofford b. ca. 1815 GA was a grandchild of theirs, but as of this time, don't know which son was her father, know who wasn't.
She married Wesley M. Cooley in 1833 Jackson Co.; after his death she remarried to Hiram Allen in 1842 Jackson Co. GA.
Hiram's son Isom B. Allen married in 1845 Jackson Co. GA to Martha Wofford b. ca. 1827.
Martha and Cynthia may be sisters.
