Woffords - Maryland to South Carolina

According to "The Wofford Volume" by Zelma Price (1964), the ancestors of Capt. Joseph Wofford and his brothers who migrated to South Carolina were the folowing:

1. William Wofford b. abt. 1620 England or Scotland, d. abt. 1655 St. Mary's Co., MD

2. William Wofford born abt. 1648 St. Mary's Co. MD d. abt. 1680 St. Mary's Co. MD

3. William Wofford born abt. 1674 ST. Mary's Co. MD d. abt. 1746 Prince George's Co. MD

4. Absalom Wofford born abt. 1703 Prince George's Co. MD, d. abt. 1755 Rock Creek, Frederick (from Prince Georges) Co. MD (Absalom is said to be thefather to the brothers who migrated to SC)

I do not have any citations to primary source documents proving these father-son relationships in each generation. Does anyone have proof that William I was the father of William II, WIlliam II was the father of William III and so on?

I would be very grateful if anyone can provide the necessary documentation.
