The only Scott woman I have who married a Wofford was supposely the wife of John S. Wofford son of Nathaniel Wofford and Comfort Snow Pruitt. John S. Wofford's daughter, Sarah Ann Wofford was my gg grandmother.

p. 377-379. 26 Nov 1849. Deed of Conveyance. Benj. Wofford of the Town of Spartanburg, to Joseph Foster & D.C. Judd of the Town of Spartanburg, sold for $1,300 sold a fraction of an acre, a lot in the Town of Spartanburg fronting on the public square and adjoining a Lot now occupied by Campbell & Seay being known as Lot 2. Beginning on the NE corner of the Lot now occupied by Messrs Campbell & Seay which last named lot is here designated as Lot 2 being Lot 3 running with the line of Lot 2 S 25 E Sixty and a half Feet to a stone. Same course 83 Links to a stone. Thence N 69 E along back of street Twenty Two Feet to a stone. Thence N 23 W 87 L to a Stone. Thence N 25 W Sixty and a half Feet to the public Square. Thence along the line of said Square S 62 W Twenty Four Feet to the beginning corner. Said Lot bounds on the S on a street Twelve Feet in [width] running nearly at right angles with the Jail Street from said street to Mr. Jesse Cleveland's Lot which I give for the benefit of the purchasers. p. 385-386. 26 Nov 1849. Deed of Conveyance. Benjamin Wofford of the Town of Spartanburg, to John B. Archer of the Town of Spartanburg, for $1,000 sold a Town Lot in Spartanburg Village on the Public Square & running back on Jail Street. Beginning at the NW corner of the Piazza fronting the court house on the Public Square being part of a Lot sold to me by John T. Kirby running thence S 25 E along cross street about one hundred twelve feet to a stone. Thence N 69 E nineteen feet and three inches along back street to a stone. Thence N 26 W 81 Links to a stone. Thence N 25 W sixty & a half feet to main street or Public Square. Thence with the line of said Square S 62 W twenty feet & eleven inches to the beginning corner, excepting and reserving within said boundaries at the Southern extremity of said Lot on Jail Street a portion of the same sixteen feet on Jail Street & eighteen feet along back street which I do not convey, being a square of 16 X 18 feet. p. 489-490. 21 Jan 1850. Deed of Conveyance. Benj. Wofford of Spartanburg Dist, for $800 paid by William B. Seay & Anthony G. Campbell of Spartanburg Dist, sold a lot of a fraction of an acre, in the Town of Spartanburg adjoining a Lot on the E now owned by Joseph Foster & D.C. Judd and on the W by a Lot now owned by J.B. Archer, on S by the Public Square & on the S by a street running from Jail Street to a Lot now owned by Jesse Cleveland. Wit: J. Zimmerman, J. Gwinn Harris. Signed, Benj. Wofford.
