I had seen the name of the older Hiram and had pretty much concluded that Hiram B. was likely a son or a nephew. I didn't know how complete records were on this family. I do certainly think that the Hiram you found in Union Co., SC was the Hiram who later moved to Cobb Co., GA after having married Mary Mayes in SC. I had mentioned that my grt. grt. grandaunt, Mrs. Elizabeth (Dunn) Shadinger, had married Hiram B. Wofford. In an interesting bit of irony, she had a first cousin named Elizabeth Dunn who married a William Henry Wofford in Cobb County, GA in 1853. You might think that the latter Wofford might be closely related to Hiram B. but it does not appear to be so. It seems that the William Henry Wofford was born in GA in 1831 and was the son of a Joseph Wofford and his wife, Catherine Morgan. It seems that William Henry and Elizabeth had already moved to Arkansas by around 1855. As you might suspect, I am a Dunn family historian (among many families) and, as a native of Cobb County, GA, I am interested in a large number of families there. R. L.
