Dear Ms Childs: John C. Woffords was a World War 2 veteran. He was 39 when he died in 1957, so he was probably born about 1918. I suppose that he was born in 1918, but I do not know that for sure. His parents were Mr and Mrs Frank M. Wofford. They lived at 809 W. Chicago, Springfield, MO. John C. Wofford's brothers were: Harold,of Springfield, Harry R., of Cape Giradeau,MO., Ralph D. of Springfield ,MO. John C. was buried at the National Cemetery in Springfield MO. John C. died as the result of electrocution while working on a power line not far from Springfield, MO. That is all I know about him. If you find out any more about him, please let me know.
