Hi Robin,

my gradnfather had to prove that he is a real german during the second world war. So we are quite sure about his birthdate. The village he lived is very very close to Erfurt, so it could really be possible that there is a connection. The main problem is that this letter isn't in my family anymore. He got lost during the war. My gradnfather has seen it once when he was a young boy. Emil August Richard is the brother of his grandfather Ernst Carl Eduard.

I guess the only chance we have is to search for Auguste. If I can prove she married our Emil, than we have a connection.

I would like to give you my email adress for further discussion. german_spacegirl@hotmail.com

Regards and greetings from a rainy Germany :)
Marlen
