seeking any information on Dr. John Lee Witter.
Headright issue shows he was given a Class 2 640acres grant in Nacogdoches that became Unconditional in 7 Sep 1841 in Gonzales County. His date of Imigration into Texas was August 1837.
My interest in him is based on a Court paper that indicates my realative, Eunice Butler, came to Texas early and married a John Witter. She did recieve head right as Eunice Butler in May, 1839 Nacogdoches. There is also A Eunice Witter that recieved headright shrtly after Eubice Butler and both show the same Imigration date!
