WIRKKALA of 61 Michael Wittenmyer Sr. was born to George and Anna Wilhelmina Catherine Rau on 13 Dec 1772 in Bucks County, PA. He died on 29 July 1850 in Middleburg, Union County, PA. He married Mary Magdalina Wittenmyer of Northumberland County, PA. They had several children one of which is Michael Wittenmyer Jr. born 20 Aug 1802 and died 28 May 1825. He married Elizabeth Duck. There is a book that is available titled MY TWO WITTENMYER FAMILIES. It tells about the two Wittenmyer families, one from Alsace Lorraine France and the other from Wuerttenberg, Germany combining as you see in the elder Michael Wittenmyer's union to Mary Madgalina Wittenmyer.
