German Immigrant William
William Witteborg came to Germany to the United States in the 19th century. He was a printer by trade, and worked in several newspapers, by 1870 he and his wife had moved to Denver, where he became the owner and publisher of the Colorado Journal, later the Colorado Herold, the longest continuously published German language newspaper in Denver's history.Witteborg is listed in the special 1885 census, and in the 1890 census with his name misspelled.Witterborg and Wittenborg are used.I have some more information about him if anyone is searching on this name, and I would like to know what happened to him.
