I appreciate your follow up, and I agree that my line of Witt originated in Germany. I live in the Leavenworth area and actually, I've never run across any Witt's I can't connect to this immediate family However, odd as it sounds, can't find much forward or back (ie just the 1850'1950's LVCO Ks.)herman Witt, son of Julius was married to Caroline "Tillie" Treff. They had one son, George Alfred Witt.
