Hello Scott,
Please forgive my mistake. Our lines meet with the first Adam Witt, son of Saunders Witt and Lavinia Helm. I inserted an extra Saunders in my reply. I don't have any information for you regarding Witts in Tazwell. My grandfather (George D. Witt)s father was Adam, but he was the son of the first Adam Witt and the grandson of the first Saunders that you listed. My ggrandfather Adam was born in 1863, about 8 years before your Adam (the second Saunders'son) was born, making him the uncle of your second Saunders and the grandson of the first Saunders. Some Witts did remain in Henry and Patrick Counties but I think that most moved on to other places. The county names and boundaries are different from what they may have been in the past so be aware of that. I did notice in William Witt's will (father of the first Saunders) that his son Saunders lived in Floyd County at that time, but later he shows up back in Patrick County.
