I am looking to confirm that Eliza Ann Witt's father was John Witt . I have a marriage record indicating her mother was Jane White. I have a marriage record indicating that Jane White married John Witt. So I am assuming that John Witt was Eliza Ann's father. But a posting on Genforum states that Benjamin Witt was her father. A Benjamin Witt was surety for Eliza's marriage but I think maybe that was because her father was deceased. I would appreciate any clarification.
