Sarah had but one brother, Franklin Withington, born 23 April 1810.
Sarah was born 18 October 1807, daughter of Phinehas and Mary Preston (Moseley) Withington; married Dr. Cranston Howe.
Phinehas was born 1 June 1781, son of Samuel Withington, ancestry unknown, and Elizabeth[6] Withington.
Elizabeth[6] Withington was born 13 January 1752, daughter of Samuel[5] and Elizabeth (Champney) Withington.
Samuel[5] was born 16 May 1714, son of Richard[4] and Sarah (Atherton) Withington.
Richard[4] was born 1 August 1680, son of John[3] and Elizabeth (Preston) Withington.
John[3] was born 1 July 1649, son of Richard[2] and Elizabeth (Eliot) Withington.
