I have the following information: James Snell Withington was b. May 26, 1815 in Canton, MA. His father was Henry Withington b. Dorchester, MA June 15, 1777, d. Canton, MA March 10, 1853. His mother was Lydia Snell, b. Bridgewater, MA March 15, 1781, d. Canton, MA July 9, 1824. James Snell married at Kingston, MA April 17, 1842 Mercy Bonney, dau. of ------- and Sarah(Faunce)Bonney of Duxbury, MA. James Snell was an iron and steel worker. He was lining at Raynham Centre in 1876. I don't know when he or his wife died. They had 4 children:
1. Horace, b. Duxbury, MA August 6, 1843; d. Plymouth, MA Oct. 19, 1843.
2. James Otis, b. Pembroke, MA Jan. 11, 1845; d. unm. at Raynham, MA in 1920.
3. Henry Cushing, b. Wareham, MA Mar. 27, 1848; d. Raynham, MA in 1906, m. ------. Child: Edna C.
4. Sarah Jane, b. Plympton, MA July 5, 1849; living at Raynham in 1920; m. ------Gould.
