I know the line you are speaking of --
James Weethee went to Mason, Hillsborough
Co. NH, where he died 4 April 1796.But
I do not know that he had any Revolutionary
War Service, although according to Vallie Weethee, (p. 21 of Weethee, Withey...) he
was one of two men who took the security census of Mason in October 1775.To my
knowledge no one has applied to the DAR under him, but it has been many years since I worked with DAR records on this family. There is a book in the LDS Library on the Ellis / Withee family. It relies heavily on
the Weethee book for information on the Weethee/Witheeand repeats an error in lineage that Vallie Weethee first published, later corrected in a supplement.James Mackerwethe /Weethee was born ca 1724/1725, probably in Massachusetts, the son of James and Ruth (Curtis) Mackerwithey.
He is not the son of Daniel. James Sr. was the son of the immigrant, James Mackarory/ Mackerwithey.
