I am looking for information regarding my gg grandfather. His name was William (Witherspoon, Weatherspoon, Wetherspoon) Walker. (Not sure of the Witherspoon Spelling). He was born in Vandalia, Illinoise about 1832. However, my Walker family line is VA, NC, KY, Ill.

I know that his Witherspoon name came from somewhere. I am looking for a possible connection. Perhaps a Witherspoon mother?

I am not sure of William's parents. They seem to be a weak link. I have heard that it may have been Edward Walker, born 1797 in Wilkes, NC married to Elizabeth ? If so they were married abt 1817 in North Cumberland, KY.

Any help at all would be extremely appreciated!

Thank you,
Sarah Walker
