The following information is from the Joseph Bailey Witherspoon book, "The History and Genealogy of the Witherspoon Family"

As you will notice, according to this information, Elizabeth Gordon Witherspoon died on the same day she got married! If this were true, she would not be the mother of these children. So---this information may be more of a hindrance than a help.
