I just saw your posting regarding a Witherspoon/Wright connection. I'm researching my Witherspoon family from western PA., William and his brother Samuel Witherspoon who settled first in Wash. Co., then Beaver and Lawrence counties. While doing research I've read of a John Witherspoon who was in Cecil Co., MD, married to Elizabeth Wright then the family went on the Wash. Co. PA prior to 1800. They had atleast five children, born between 1795-1803...Jonathan, Elizabeth, John Jr., Azariah and Joshua. Any connection?
