Maybe I should stay out of this, but Karen Rodgers (krodgers@mail.usachoice.net) apparently has it documented that William Wetherell's father was also William Witherell (1565-1620). Karen is a researcher in Oil City PA. Also, Elaine Smith in Detroit documented the Rodger's line through british material, and has the Smythfield Martyr as the Grandfather of our William. And although the connection hasn't yet been made, this line probably ties to Sir Richard Wetherell of Yorkshire.
