Peter Witham and Mary Lufkin

Hi, my name is Jim Wilson and I'm reaching the Lufkins of Cape Ann. I'm told that Petr was the son of Thomas Witham and Ann Gaywood of Steeple Parish, Essex, England in the mid 1500's. They had a son Peter who married Mary Lufkin in England, and they had a son Peter who migrated to the States around 1650 and married Redigon Clark on 17 June 1652 in Boston, MA. Can anyone verify this information, and tell me where I can get their family history.
