The research I have seen states that "my" Caleb Witcher died before 1840 (poss. 18 July 1835) in Saline Co., MO. I have not been able to find any verification of this fact. He was the son of William Witcher Jr. and Mary Dalton. He was born ~1785/95 in Pittsylvania Co., VA and married Frances James on 11 May 1816 in the same county. His wife and children lived and died in Pittsylvania Co., VA. His daughter-my 3g-grandmother was born about the time he died and I would love to find out why he was in MO and verification of his death date.
