In the 1850 Bradley County, TN census, there is a William J. Whitcher family, with a wife, Eliza, and children, Nancy, Martha, John, George, Mary, Margaret, Melinda, M(ill.), Sarah and Pearlina.
What line does this family belong to? Does anyone know?
In the 1870 Bradley County census, there is a very similar family, William D. Witcher, although some of the ages aren't quite the same.
Any help in placing this group will be appreciated.
