My name is Eveleth Hill and I have made copies of the Daniel Witcher death information placed on the grave in the Dan Witcher Cemetery. It is a small cardboard grave marker and evidently my grandmother, Lea Pollard who was a cousin of Dan Witcher's, took it from the cemetery years ago and it was with some of her things. It is not in the best of shape and one can tell it was exposed to the elements for some time. I am sending the copies to Bill Treece here in Saline County. I do not have your mailing address nor the mailing address of Virginia Rawlins. I know Bill Treece should have your address. I have a picture of Dan Witcher and it is in a group picture taken years ago on Russell Street here in Marshall. It is on the front porch and I will get copies of this for you and identify who is in the picture for both of you. Somewhere I have copies of Dan Witcher's Estate papers. Would you like copies? My grandmother is the person who found him dead in his house on Salt Pond Street here in Marshall. She lived two doors from him on Salt Pond and looked after him. I never knew him but have heard my mother's family speak of him numerous times. Two of my mother's brothers did not like him at all--I don't know why. He left the majority of his estate to my mother's sister, Elizabeth Pollard. Eveleth Hill eahill@socket.net Notify Administrator about this message?
