Thanks for writing! I may have a little info for you, I hope. I have found on the 1900 census of Ferry District:(page 1)
Some of it was hard to read:
Living in dwelling #8 was my Canning family including Lillie Dodge Canning.
In dwelling #9 was:
----Wiswell--b. May 1867 born Mi, father born Vermont, mother born Mi
wife: Agnes? Wiswell--born June 1876 in Mi,father born NY, mother born Ohio
children:
James Wiswell--born Jan. 1898 b. Mi, both parents b. Mi
Francis Wiswell--daughter--born Sept. 1899 in Mi, both parents b. Mi

In next dwelling #10 are:
O--- Wiswell, born July 1833 in Vermont, father born Mass., mother born Mass.
wife--
Francis? Wiswell, born June 1838 in Mi, both parents born NY.

I hope this is useful to you! The Dodges also originally came from Mass and VT--I just wonder if they knew each other, there also. Lillie Dodge was dau. of Nebraska Dodge--have him traced back to Richard Dodge-in Ma in 1600's. Lillie's mother was Mary Alice Miller of probably Ferry area, but haven't gotten past her!

Bonnie in Oregon
