Dear Jo, I am the g.g.granddaughter to Nathaniel Samuel Hazleton and Melissa Ann Wiswell. They were married in Aug. 10, 1848 in Denton, Texas I have her being the daughter of Mathew James Wiswell born in England and her Mother being Eda Ruth Johansen. she born June 8, 1811 in Ohio, she died Feb 7, 1895 in Red Bluff, Tehama, California, next to her daughter,in Oak Hill Cemetery, Red Bluff, California. My Great grandfather, in Thomas Jefferson Hazleton, born in Texas in 1851. 1850 Census Nathaniel and Melissa Hazleton in Denton County, Texas, farmer. 1860 census Merced County, California, J. Wiswell age 29, and his family, N. Hazleton age 38, and his family, live next to each other.H Wiswell is living with N. Hazelton, Eda Wiswell and Jo Wiswell are living with J. C. Bigham.
