I'm very surprised there are so many people around the world living in different countries with the name Wistuba.
My grandmother was CLARA WISTUBA, she was born here in southern Chile. Her father was Emanuel Wistuba, born in Josefsgrund - Schlesien, who emigrated from Germany to Chile in 1866 with her parents (Anton Wistuba and Agnes Grittner) and brothers Johann and Theresia. They travelled from Germany on the Ship "Susanna" and settled near the town of Puerto Montt in the south of Chile, to colonize with other hundreds of german inmigrants the region hired by the goverment.

A nephew of my grandmother, Hardy Wistuba, is a famous artist who paints beautiful pictures. He received the national arts price back on 1957. He is 75 years old now. I have pictures of him and of my grandmother and my greatgrandfather EMANUEL WISTUBA. Just mail me and I'll aswer you back. I'll be thrilled to see new information about the family Wistuba from Schlesien.
