Sarah Wistar and George Pennock were married 14 Oct 1790, so this was likely a wedding gift. Sounds like a lovely piece of furniture! Philadelhia Chippendale of that era is a favorite of mine. George Pennock died in Philadelphia od yellow fever August 1799. I have five children listed in my files, including Caspar Wistar Pennock, MD who was born in Philadelphia in 1799.
