Hi,

This thread seems long dead...hope people are still about.

I have a written letter from my now dead grand mother about Jacob Wissler and his wife Magdalina who immigrated from Switzerland in 1720.

She wrote this as I had recently moved to Switzerland and was excited about the connection.

From the letter it says that Jacob was a Mennonite and was personally urged by William Penn to move to PA. (Getting a little verbatim here...) Their son Andrew Wissler (age 32) 1735-1802 married in 1767 Anna Magdina Groff (age 16) 1752-1806. Two of their sons died but their son Jacob survived 1776-1853.

There is more leading down towards me, but I am more interesting in learning about Jacob Wissler and Magdalina Wissler...and their immigration from Switzerland. It seems from another post that they were from Langnau (or at least she was) which is only two or so hours from me.

Any information would be great. Thanks.
