James, this is great information and I would like to get copies of the bible records if all at possible. I would gladly reimburse you for the copy costs and postage. I believe you are correct and that your George Sr. is the son of the immigratn Johann Ludwig Wissinger who imported to the US on Sept 23, 1740. He settled in Frederick Co., Md. and with wife Catharine UNK had six sons and four daughters. George Sr. was the 8th child. From your records, then it appears that George Jr. and Rebecca was his children. Also, George Sr. had a daughter Elizabeth , but the calculated birth date of your Elizabeth (1779) does not fit. Perhaps this Elizabeth is the sister of George Sr. as Johann's 7th child was named Elizabeth. She married Christian Miller - any mention of him in yoru bible records ?

James, I can send you quite a bit more information if you are interested. I can be contacted directly at
