The Wisniewski family I'm working on came from East Lake, Michigan I believe but definetly Manistee County.They moved to Minnesota sometime after 1900 but before 1917.Does any of this look familiar to anyone in your tree?:

Notes: I believe this family immigration was from Krakow, Poland to Warsaw, Poland to the U.S.I believe he left family in Manistee County, Michigan.A brother named I believe Stanley but it’s hard to read who was born May of 1850 he had a son, Frank).Also a brother named Frank born August of 1846 who immigrated in 1881.They may have not changed their names from Wisniewski to Wines.William born February of 1867 (he had a daughter, Clara).Family names are usually repeated.There seem to be a lot of Wisniewski’s in Manistee County, Michigan.I was told that Wisniewski is a very common name in Poland.According to the 1900 census which was taken June 19, 1900, the family was living in Manistee 2nd Precinct in Manistee County, Michigan.Paul was born February of 1850 in Poland Aust; both his parents were born in Poland.He was 50 years old.He immigrated in 1881 and had lived in the U.S. for 19 years.He was a naturalized citizen.He was a cigar maker.He owned his home mortgage free.He could read, write and speak English.He may have been the County Commissioner for Manistee, Michigan before coming to Minnesota.It is possible he came to Minnesota in about 1901.

He registered June 5, 1917 in the 7th Precinct of Minneapolis.According to the 1920 census which was taken January 10, 1920, he was living at 1701 4th Street with his brother, Frank.He was a weigher for the state weigh department.He died September 17, 1932 in Hennepin County.
Helen L. Wines born January 28, 1894 in Michigan. It’s November of 1894 on the 1900 census. She married Joseph Gawlick.In 1930, she was a salesman in the Drygoods store.Interesting note: There is a Gawlick family living next door to a Wisniewski family on the 1920 census in Detroit, Michigan in Wayne County.It is the Albert and Anne Gawlick family living next door to the Frank and Francis Wisniewski family.Joseph died November 3, 1965 in Hennepin County; he had a heart attack while driving.They may have lived in Chicago for a while.Helen was a devout Catholic.She visited Mother Theresa twice and gave her money. She also supported Holy Cross Church.She died July 22, 1978 in Hennepin County.
