I have a collection of more than 20,000 individual Wisharts.
The card I have for Herman has information which is not possibly the same as yours.
Herman A Wishart was b 22 Feb 1849 in Philadelphia PA and he died 18 Oct 1924 in the same city. He wed Catherine Meirs on 29 Jun 1875 in Cinnaminson (?), NJ. His fatehr was Andrew Wishart but his mother is unknown (to me).
He had children Lohn, Lillian, Ida, Catherine, Harry and Joseph. He was supposedly a farmer but the 1900 Census gives his occupation as a cigar maker. From 1881-1887 he was a salesman and from 1887 - 1914 he was listed in the Philadelphia Dorectory as a cigarmaker.
I have no idea if all of this is true or not and some of this data might pertain to another Herman whose father was Martin. Glad of any help/ideas.
